Ethnic Research Ethnic minorities represent approximately 10% of the Irish population. They utilise services such as Health, education, social services, housing and police. Our research has offered policy makers useful insights when reviewing or evaluating services and also helped towards a greater cohesiveness in the community through better understanding of Ethnic minorities.
Multicultural research requires a very considered approach and researching these target groups requires extensive knowledge of how to engage meaningfully with them. In order to obtain greater insight into multicultural societies, it is imperative to understand cultural differences which may exist. Known as Cultural Matching, we are very aware of the need to manage each non-national Community differently. We run native language Focus Groups in Polish, Lituanian, Russian and Chinese. |
